3 months and where or where has Mandy gone?

I am on myspace now.

it is alientothisworld.

I haven't had time to write long blogs as of late- I am working a lot of hours - just got through working 100 hours the last two weeks and no days off.  What can I say I need the extra money......and also there are big changes going on in my life- the possibility of moving this summer- so yeah that's about it.  I've started attending a new church group and have been less at the home church I've been going to for going on 28 years.  I could use prayer during this transitional time. My high school reunion is coming up in June so I just registered for that.

I've been helping a friend organize things before she moves Lord- willling next month to Prague to help with Teen Challenge- and I am volunteering for a fundraiser next weekend to help raise support for a 3 year old who has leukemia.

Never say Never

When as a society are people going to stop using the word Never.

I keep hearing ...well, it is a proven statistic that women who didn't have a biological father growing up - were abandoned basically,  will Never Trust men, and will sleep around to find love.  Or, people say- He will never go to college, He isn't smart enough, or they will Never get married- or have kids, or whatever the case may be- holy, righteous, good enough, talented enough, pretty enough. Or, here's the big one.....He or she will Never change. People just don't change. Don't we know that God Never uses Never?  He is the God of All things are possible!  We need to listen folks to how we speak about our life. Do we use the word Never ever?? in any circumstance.  We speak things into fruition.  Have you ever thought about how many people who have done great things in this world were told you will never amount to this or that. You will never be a pastor, you will never walk, you will never talk....and look at those that with their attitudes and different perspective do the very things they were told they could not do.

I am repulsed by the word Never. It is a cop-out excuse to not take responsibility for our lives and do something with what God has given us.

We are people of power and love.

Dancing with God

When I meditated on the word  Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
 The dance takes surrender, willingness,
 and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
 "God, "u" and "i" dance."
 God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get  guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God as God
 abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.

If God has done anything for  you in your life,
please share this message with someone else,
for prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive.
 There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.

 And I Hope You Dance
